Ambert Market – Every Thrusday morning throughout the year – exceptional market with diverse products. Local food producers around the town hall – the only round building to house a town hall in France.

 

 

Coq Noir - Auvergne

Coq Noir – Situated in the high grazing country known as the Hautes Chaumes, the Coq Noir is an ancient summer hut, open to visitors throughout the summer months. Push open one of its heavy original doors and you find yourself in an authentic summer farm, around 120 years old. From spring to autumn you can visit the museum, enjoy traditional food in the restaurant, theatre, music and concerts. There are also guided walks and summer camps for children.

Richard de Bas - Auvergne

Richard de Bas - Classed as an Historic Monument, the paper mill Richard de Bas, is one of the last remaining, and functioning paper mills of this region – once famous as the cradle of France's paper industry. The building itself is impressive, parts of which date from the 15th century. Guided visits available.
